Morning Assembly

The Morning Assembly is not a mere ritual but sets the perfect tone for the day. Besides – Prayer Song, Thought for the Day, Precept Reading and its explanation by the Master on Duty, Headlines from the News paper, Quiz or any other activity with latest information, Birthday wishes are also conveyed. Each class present the assembly on rotation thus giving chance to all students to showcase their talents.

House System

Students enthusiastically participates in various activities and celebrations under the four Houses – Brahmaputra, Kaveri, Jhelum and Narmada which are named on the four important rivers, from the four cardinal directions of our nation. Each House has a Captain, Vice-Captain and Prefects who work under the guidance of the House Master and House Associate Teachers with the prime objective of inculcating in the pupils, a sense of collective responsibility and solidarity.

Investiture Ceremony

The new prefectorial Board is installed in an impressive ceremony held in the month of April. The School and House Flags, Sashes, Prefects’ Handbook and Badges are presented to the Captains and Prefects on this occasion.

Inter – House Competitions

A wide range of Inter-House Competitions such as Short Story Writing, Debate, Quiz, Recitation, and Extempore Speech Competition are organised for the students. House members participates in them enthusiastically.

Club Activities

To nurture special talent in students, various Clubs are formed. Students from Classes VI – X are the members of Clubs such as Health and Awareness, Environment, Science, Music, Dance and Drama.

Celebrations of Religious Festivals

To keep students attached to their Culture many religious festivals such as Janmashtami, Diwali and Christmas are celebrated in the School.

Celebration of National Days

National Days such as Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti and Republic Day are celebrated with great patriotic fervour and splendour.

Sports and Games

Sports and Games are given utmost priority. Efforts are made to provide ample opportunities to students to participate in School Level and Inter-School Level events.

Inter-house matches of Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Dodge ball, One leg Hopping and Leg Cricket are organised.

Besides Taluka and District Level matches, the students also participates in CBSE West Zone Cluster matches.

Sports Day

Annual Sports Day is held in the month of November at the school ground. Besides many sporting events the programme includes an impressive opening and closing ceremony showcasing Physical and Cultural activities. The winners are given medals and certificates. The best athlete and champion house are honoured with trophies amidst loud cheers.

Participate in Inter School Activities

A mple opportunities are provided to participate in varied Inter-School Activities (Cultural as well as Academic)

Students participate in Quiz, Debates, Declamations organised by Sahodaya School Complex, CBSE and other agencies.

Exhibitions by CBSE & others.

Cultural competitions by Sahodaya and others.

Examinations and Olympiads by various Government agencies.

Educational Excursion, Camps , Film Show & Field Trips

Learning is not only through books but also through exposure to outside world. Educational Excursions expand students learning through active hands-on experience with the rich resources of the local area and its community. They also increase student’s knowledge and understanding of a subject and add realism to the topic of study. 

Various day and overnight educational excursions are organised. Students also participate in concept based field trips.

Programme For The Students And Parents

Various informative Programmes are organised for the students and parents.

Programmes for the Parents are based on ‘New initiatives by CBSE’, Health and Parenting.

Programmes for the students are based on Career Guidance, Health and Environment and other suitable topics.

Parent – Teacher Meeting

At regular intervals, Parent-Teacher Meetings are conducted to discuss the well being of the students. Discussions are held with the parents to deal with the weak areas of students apart form their positive traits, Record of these meetings are kept for further reference.

School Almanac

Besides the information about the School, it has the Plan for the Examinations and Assessment. School’s Activity Calendar is also a part of it.

School Publication – NewsLetter

‘AAROHAN’ the school NewsLetter is released Bi–Monthly. The NewsLetter gives an exhaustive account of the creative work done by the students’. Many original writings, Drawing, poetries by the students are also a part of it.
